All Tomorrow's Parties UK 04 - line up starts to take shape
Now in its fifth year the All Tomorrow¹s Parties festival returns to Camber Sands, East Sussex to host its birthday celebrations, entitled The Directors Cut. Over two consecutive weekends (March 26-28 & April 2-4 2004) the festival will feature a selection of past, present and future UK & US curators, with the last day of the festival curated by the directors themselves; Barry Hogan and Helen Cottage of Foundation. Each curator will choose an entirely new line-up over the two stages for one day each, and all have confirmed to perform on the day that are curating, with the exception of Barry and Helen. The weekends will feature as follows:
Weekend One:
Friday March 26th curated by Mogwai
Saturday March 27th curated by Tortoise
Sunday March 28th curated by Shellac
Weekend Two:
Friday April 2nd curated by Stephen Malkmus
Saturday April 3rd curated by Sonic Youth
Sunday April 4th curated by Foundation
Full line-ups will be in place in the New Year and running orders and times will follow then, and are set to be so varied that they will suit even those with the most diverse music preferences. But performances are already confirmed from Mogwai, Tortoise, Shellac, Stephen Malkmus and Sonic Youth and the following guests, who will play on the following days:

Tortoise, Boredoms, Lightning Bolt, Broadcast, Mike Watt's Secondmen, + Mike Watt's Tom & Jerry show

The Tindersticks, Cat Power, The Notwist, ooioo, Har Mar Superstar, Jackie-o Motherf**ker, Bardo Pond, Threnody Ensemble, VibraCathedral Orchestra, Fursaxa, Sophia
For those unversed with the ATP set-up, tickets for the festival are £110 + booking fee person (per weekend) which includes three days and nights of performances (starting mid-afternoon) with bars & DJ sets through til dawn, plus three nights self-catering chalet accommodation all with private bathroom suites. Onsite facilities include a indoor swimming pool, mini-golf, go-karting, restaurants & fast food outlets, plus a supermarket and off-license. Just across the road from the site you will find one of the most beautiful beaches in the UK and a short bus/car journey away is the historic town of Rye. Camber Sands is some 60 miles drive from London, or alternatively by train into Rye village with a short bus journey to the site.Tickets for ATP UK2004 can be purchased through www.atpfestival.com and are only available in blocks of 4,5,6,7 & 8 due to the specifications of the accommodation.Please note that tickets purchased for either weekend are valid for that weekend only - i.e. tickets for Weekend One do not allow entry to Weekend Two and visa versa. For those of you wanting to purchase in tickets in person you can either go to Stargreen Box Office (0207 - 734 8932), 20a Argyll Street, London W1, or Picadilly Box Office (0161 - 832 1111), Easynet Internet Café, St Annes Square, Manchester or Radio City Box Office, St Johns Centre, HoughtonStreet Entrance, Liverpool. The festival has now become so popular that over a third of the ticket sales have already been sold without the line-up even being announced so don¹t wait too long before purchasing.
